What this privacy policy covers

This policy explains how ADHD Reading handles information when you visit adhd-reading.com, use our reading assistant, contact support, or verify your account or use billing features. ADHD Reading is an assistive reading product, not a medical provider, diagnostic service, or treatment tool.

Local-first page processing

Our product direction is local-first. Routine reading adjustments such as bionic reading, semantic highlights, focus overlays, typography controls, and site preferences should happen in your browser whenever possible. We do not want page text or reading history to become a server-side data product.

Reading content

When the extension formats a page, the content is processed to create a better visual reading experience. Unless you explicitly use a future cloud or AI feature and approve the transfer, page content should remain on your device.

Settings and site memory

Reading preferences, presets, typography values, and site memory may be stored locally in your browser. If cross-device sync is introduced, the synced data should focus on preferences rather than full page content.

Website analytics and cookies

We may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand visits, performance, popular pages, and conversion paths. Analytics should help improve the product and website without collecting page content from your browsing sessions.

Accounts, billing, and support

The extension requires a signed-in Chrome profile and email verification. We process your email, verification-code hashes, trial start and end times, device names and public keys, authorization sessions, and last access times. Your device private key stays in the browser. Resend delivers verification emails. Trial access lasts 72 hours from first activation; reinstalling or resetting settings does not restart it. Trial records are retained to enforce this limit.

While reading tools are in use, the extension checks the Chrome profile and refreshes online authorization using leases of at most 60 seconds. Access requests contain account and device authorization data, not page text or visited URLs. Paid activation also sends the signed license code containing purchase email, plan, order reference and expiry. Waffo-Pancake handles payment details when checkout is enabled; ADHD Reading does not store full card numbers. Browser speech may use an operating-system or browser voice provider and is not guaranteed to work offline.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data with service providers that help us operate the website, process payments, respond to support, prevent abuse, or comply with law.

Your choices

You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or export of information associated with your account or support request. You can also clear local extension data through your browser or product settings.
